Weekend of Awesomeness

You know those movies where a big group of old friends gets together for a reunion and it looks like so much fun?

It is!

A much anticipated portion of our vacation included 3 days with three other families. Most of us have been friends since the teen years!

We now have 15 kids between us with one more on the way.

We rented a large 6 bedroom home in Maryland. 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 4 refrigerators & 2 staircases. Oh, what fun!

We also ate our way through five boxes of brownies. I'm not gonna lie, it was quite enjoyable having a huge pan of brownies on the counter to eat at our leisure all weekend.

So many kids, so much fun.

It also wasn't as noisy as it may've been since we were on 14 acres. The kids were able to spend a lot of time playing outside (the home we rented was also surround by highland cows!)

There were lots of big sticks and the kids (especially the boys) had a grand time fighting with them & seeing who could throw them the farthest.

There were also lots of board games, a pool table & a ping pong table at the house.

There was a huge grill on the back patio so one night we grilled out but the next we ordered the largest pizzas ever.

We ordered two pizzas & still had leftovers.

It rained Saturday night so we pushed our bonfire & smore roasting to Sunday night.

It ended up being perfect for the fire as that night it dropped to freezing temps.

After the kids were in bed (which was surprisingly easy considering their numbers) the adults pulled out the treats & played games.

The earliest I made it to bed over the weekend was 1:30am.

The anatomy of a group photo.

The last time we were all together was 7 years ago - then & now!

We stayed in most of the weekend but a few of us did venture out to a local coffee shop. The atmosphere was fun but the espresso was subpar.

It was bittersweet saying goodbye to everyone on Monday.
